Server | Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage the backend of hardcore strategy games with millions of users.
• Collaborate with a team of core game development professionals to influence and define game direction.
• Create, communicate, and implement original ideas to enhance game features and performance.

Requirements:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2-6 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Proven experience in developing scalable backend systems for online social games.
• Expertise in real-time multiplayer backend development, including PVP and PVE tournaments.
• Strong skills in matchmaking based on user trophies and elo system.
• Familiarity with social features like clans, chat, and account connectivity (Facebook, Apple IDs).
• Experience leading the development of high-performance complex software systems.
• Proficiency in managing deployments in a production environment.
• Experience with Agile development methods like Scrum.
• Experience regarding code reviews and implementing design patterns.

Core Technologies: Javascript, Typescript, MySQL, Postgresql, Photon,
Good To Have: AWS, Nakama, Apache, Couchbase, EC2 Cloud Hosting,  Unity, C#.
